Welcome to WAMA!

The Waterford Academy of Music & Arts (WAMA) is a music school, a stage school, an art school and a theatre, all under the one roof!   It's a friendly, safe, non-competitive and inclusive community where any person can join and enjoy the company of other like-minded individuals while learning their chosen art form.  WAMA is now the premier music & arts school in the South East, and is one of largest in the country.

The Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre

Live Room Theatre, WAMA

This Saturday, 25th April 2015

We are delighted to be able to bring the magic of the Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre company to Waterford, featuring gifted craftsmanship and a skill for young people’s theatre that's not to be missed.

This amazing marrionette company will perform two fantastic shows in our Live Room Theatre this Saturday 25th April, 2015.

Show 1:

aimed at the infants to second class aged schoolchildren.

Sat 25th April - 12 noon - “Red Riding Hood”

which features the classic fairy-tale characters and a talking dustbin, who encourages children to pick up litter. The show is performed live with music and sound effects and draws plenty of audience participation, as much from adults as from children

Show 2:

aimed at third class to sixth class aged schoolchildren

Sat 25th April - 2pm - "Over the Rainbow"

which stars a Leprechaun and two Gardai who attempt to outwit those who would steal his treasure. The story underlines the importance of friendship and includes plenty of comedy localised for Waterford.
